FQPL 5 METRO · NARANGBA EAGLES
22 GAMES.
22 WINS.
Narangba Eagles took every available league point in 2024. Two years later, the numbers behind that campaign still look absurd.
TAPE 01 · THE RECORD
The only perfect league campaign in the dataset
Twenty-two league matches. Twenty-two victories. No draws. No defeats.
Narangba finished the 2024 FQPL 5 Metro season with the maximum 66 points from 66 available, scoring 97 goals and conceding 23 for a +74 goal difference.
Across The Low Block's validated Queensland senior men's data from 2024–26, Narangba are the only team with at least 10 league matches to finish a season with a 100% win rate.
The raw attacking number works out to 4.41 goals per league game. But the stat that makes the season stand apart is even simpler: every league game ended with Narangba taking three points.
TAPE 02 · THE SECOND HALF
They actually got more destructive
Narangba did not build an early lead and coast through the second half of the year. The scoring rate went the other way.
Across the final 11 league matches — Rounds 12 to 22 — they scored 57 goals and conceded 16, winning all 11 with a combined +41 goal difference.
That stretch included a 9–3 win over Logan Village Falcons, an 8–1 win over Oxley United and a 6–0 win over Jimboomba United.
THE SCORE-RELIABLE GAMES

Round 8 against Logan Roos was an adjudicated result, so its displayed score is excluded from these match-score breakdowns.

Only the 2–1 win over KPR and 4–3 win over Old Bridge.
The adjudicated Round 8 is not counted here.
TAPE 03 · THE GOALS
The front line behind 97
Ryan Shaughnessy was the centrepiece of the attack. Using league-only player-match goals, he scored 47 times before adding four more across the finals.
Ryan Shaughnessy
22 league appearances · 51 goals across the full 2024 campaign.
Joseph Mcgroggan
15 league appearances · 20 goals across the full campaign.
Nicholas Shadbolt
18 league appearances · 9 goals across the full campaign.
Shaughnessy's full-season total includes the semi-final and Grand Final. The league-only cards above keep the 22-game record separate from the finals.
FINAL TAPE · SEPTEMBER 2024
Perfect league.
Not a perfect season.
Narangba carried the momentum into the finals with a 6–1 semi-final win over Pine Hills Braza. Shaughnessy scored a hat-trick and Ryan Tanser added two.
Then came FC Old Bridge in the Grand Final. Narangba had beaten them 5–1 and 4–3 in the league. This time, Old Bridge won 4–2.
It was Narangba's first defeat in an eligible result all season. The overall campaign was not perfect. The league record still was.
